When is Annual Election Period (AEP)?

AEP happens each year from October 15th - December 7th. It's when seniors review their plans, make changes, expand their coverage, and ensure they have what they need for the next year. There are also two other Medicare-related enrollment periods that happen from January through March: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period and Part A / Part B General Open Enrollment Period.
